In this message from Pastor Harley Doneburg, we continue through Acts 13 and listen in on Paul’s first recorded sermon—one filled with conviction, history, warning, and the overwhelming grace of God. Pastor Harley begins by reminding us of the greatest gift ever given: that God sent His own Son, fully aware of every flaw, sin, and hidden struggle in our lives. Jesus came willingly, knowing exactly who we are, and still chose the cross so we might receive forgiveness and eternal life.
As Pastor Harley unfolds Paul’s sermon, we see Paul meeting the Jews and Gentile converts on familiar ground, walking them through their own history, much like Stephen once did. He traces Israel’s story from David to the coming of their long-promised Messiah, Jesus Christ. Yet Paul’s message is not merely historical—it is deeply personal. He declares that through Jesus, we receive forgiveness and justification, something the law of Moses could never accomplish.
